Monica Biagioli

Monica is a member of the Photography and the Archive Research Centre and Senior Lecturer at London College of Communication. She has interlinked practice and theory throughout her career with an emphasis on cultural heritage, developing projects on London 2012, and for Venice Biennale, Science Museum, and London Design Festival. She is currently collaborating with the RECAP Research Centre, applying arts and design approaches within the organisational context.

Her research has heritage concerns at its core, both the tangible cultural landscape and the intangible dimension of memory. Through a funnel of activities involving projects, exhibitions and writing, she explores the links between art and design activity and social value and wellbeing.

She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and is on the editorial board of the journal Култура/Culture.
